Torah Ark Decoration, Beth Avraham Synagogue, Jerusalem

Contact Us
This large multilayered papercut sits above the Torah Ark. It is the largest single work ever created by the artist.

The central motive of this work was inspired by the drawing of the Temple found above the Torah niche at the synagogue at Dura-Europos (in Syria) that dates back to the end of the second to beginning of the third century C.E.

The work is encapsulated by two texts: "One cannot become a believer save by way of truth", R. Nachman of Bratslav. "Thy words have I hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee", Psalms 119:11.
