This work, with the Jerusalem Window at its center, is encapsulated by two texts from the Midrash:

Avot deRabbi Natan: "Jerusalem is termed "Life" for it is said: (Psalms 116:9) "And I shall walk before the lord in the land of the living."

Tanchuma: "In the world to come, when the almighty returns the dispersed into Jerusalem, they will be returned in Peace for it is said (Psalms122:6) Ask for the Peace of Jerusalem..."
