30th Wedding Anniversary Commission

The center panel, shaped like a cluster of grapes and olives, is a motive created by Archie Granot to represent family. He was inspired by the text recited as part of the havdalah ceremony as the Shabbat departs.  It asks G-d to answer our prayers and ensure that our children follow in our footsteps.  "Thy wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the recesses of thy house: thy children like olive plants around thy table."  Psalms 128:3.

At the head of the papercut are the names Esther Chaya and Daniel Bendit with a beautiful text attributed to the Baal Shem Tov around the other three sides.

"A light beam emanates from every human being and reaches to the very heavens. And when two souls become one, then both light beams intertwine and flow in oneness. And so, a single, yet far brighter, ray of light is created from the union of two people".
